About Nurb

Nurb gives AI coding assistants a Python-based CAD workflow for making functional 3D-printable parts. An agent writes a part as build123d code on the Open CASCADE kernel, while Nurb builds real B-rep solids, exposes parameters as live viewer sliders, and runs checks for printability problems such as thin walls, overhangs, unsupported regions, and build-volume limits.

The desktop app combines projects, AI, and the live viewer on macOS; the command-line package supports macOS and Linux and works with assistants such as Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, and Copilot. It exports 3MF, STL, STEP, or GLB files and includes tools for rendering, slicing estimates, stress checks, variants, mesh scans, and verification. Nurb is free, runs locally, and uses the user's existing AI subscription. Release v0.20.0 was current when this listing was added in August 2026.
