About PrintStash
What it is
PrintStash is a self-hosted library for the files that feed your 3D printers. Where slicers turn models into G-code and printer tools (OctoPrint, Mainsail, Fluidd) control the machines, PrintStash works on the layer in between: organizing, tagging, and versioning the STL, 3MF, OBJ, STEP, and G-code files themselves.
Key workflow
- Import models and PrintStash auto-tags them, detects duplicates by content hash, and generates previews.
- Every print attempt is stored as a revision, so the file that printed well keeps a known-good status and is easy to find again.
- Send files straight to Klipper/Moonraker printers (stable), with beta support for OctoPrint, PrusaLink, Bambu LAN, and Elegoo.
- Everything runs on your own server or NAS with Docker Compose, keeps data in a local SQLite database, and needs no cloud account and no telemetry.
Licensing
Free and open-source under AGPL-3.0. An optional cloud service for backup and remote sync is planned as a paid add-on.
