LuaCAD
LuaCAD is an open-source, scriptable 2D and 3D CAD tool for building parametric models in Lua and exporting common mesh and OpenSCAD formats.
About LuaCAD
LuaCAD is a scriptable CAD tool for creating parametric 2D sketches and solid 3D models with Lua. It embeds Lua 5.4 in a Rust engine and evaluates constructive solid geometry with Manifold, while retaining an option to generate SCAD code for external OpenSCAD rendering.
LuaCAD Studio combines a Lua code editor with a live 3D viewport. The companion command-line tools can convert, watch, render, inspect, and lint models. LuaCAD supports BOSL2 components; imports 3MF, STL, OBJ, PLY, OFF, AMF, SVG, and DXF geometry; and exports 3MF, STL, OBJ, PLY, OFF, AMF, and SCAD files.
LuaCAD is locally installed, free and open-source under the AGPL-3.0 license. Version 1.0.0 provides official binaries for Windows, macOS, and Linux, with source and Rust crate installation also available.
